The Conservancy’s year-end 2006 financial statements have been audited. The auditor’s report was presented to the Conservancy’s Board of Directors at its May 2, 2007 regular meeting. Recently, the Conservancy held a celebration for three noteworthy happenings:
•Land Acquisition Achievement.
•Reserve Consolidation.
•Founding Leaders Retire.

On the Conservancy’s Betts tract preserve, there is a residence rented to the Widdowsons. Both are world-class biologists and do an amazing job of spotting valuable wildlife biology events and activities at the preserve. Recently, they found an injured Cooper’s Hawk. They reported it as follows in an email:

The Conservancy announces its intention to employ a Field Services Supervisor to assist in the management of its growing mitigation land holdings. This position is responsible for maintaining habitat land for which the Conservancy is responsible. A position description and posting is attached for downloading.
